Essentially habits form who you are. A habit is something that you do regularly without really thinking about it, for example, brushing your teeth or checking your e-mails. They become part of your routine and then they ultimately become who you are. But the good news is that habits are something that you can change if you don’t like them although sometimes that is easier said than done.

The six steps to changing a habit

1. Identify the habit you would like to change or create.

2. Make the decision to commit

3. Discover what your triggers are

4. Develop a plan

5. Find support

6. Reward yourself
